TYPES of PHOTOGRAPHERS (Part 2)

  • This is a continuation of my last post "Types of Photographers". Commercial Photographers are a large group and includes the following:
  • Advertising
  • Editorial
  • Photojournalism
  • Portrait
  • Wedding
  • Industrial
  • Fine Arts

  • Industrial Photographers take photographs of the workplace, machinery, buildings and people, documenting manufacturing procedures and equipment.
  • Forensic Photographers work for law Enforcement Agencies, taking pictures of evidence related to criminal activity.
  • Fine Arts Photographers create original works of art using the camera, many of these are one of a kind creations and therefore command high  prices.
  • Architectural Photographers take pictures of the interior and exterior of man-made structures capturing the feeling of being there
  • Glamour Photographers take pictures of attractive females dressed, posed and lit to show off their most interesting features. The subject can be scantily dressed but never completely nude, this is not pornography.
  • Travel Photographers take pictures of places they have visited, the photos can be wide scenic shots or pictures of a well  liked cafe these pictures are to illustrate articles written about that subject.
  • The Sports Photographer takes pictures at sports events, Baseball, Football, Swimming, Basketball are four of the many sports events that are held every year. These Photographers usually work for Newspapers or Magazines.
  • Child Photographers take pictures of children, these are usually portraits of the kids, I am sure you have seen those cute Baby pictures in the neighborhood photographers store window.
